Yes, there is a Red Dot Medical Information Program. What is it? It is a program with all your important medical information captured in one place to aid an EMS (Emergency Medical Services) when they are summoned to your home for an emergency. The medical information includes your medications, allergies, and any medical condition(s).
There are specific instructions on how to be part of this program. You can find the information online at http://www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov and on the Burnt Store Lakes website at http://www.bslpoa.org.
When you have completed the form, you keep the top copy, place it in the red magnet holder, and place it on your refrigerator. The bottom copy is placed in an envelope and mailed. Your information will be entered in a database for local EMS.
Some of our new BSL residents were given information on the Red Dot Program from the Welcome Committee when they moved into our subdivision. I hope you will consider being part of the program.
