Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Update – July Report

  • August 2026
  • Fred Boland, ARC Liaison

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) continues to see steady activity throughout Burnt Store Lakes as new construction and home improvement projects move forward.

During the July ARC meeting, the Committee reviewed two (2) new single-family home construction applications. Both applications remain on hold pending the submission of additional documentation requested from the contractors to ensure compliance with the Association’s Architectural Guidelines and Governing Documents.

In addition, the ARC reviewed eight (8) other construction and exterior modification applications, including various homeowner improvement projects. One application is currently on hold while the applicant provides additional information requested by the Committee. The ARC appreciates applicants’ prompt responses to documentation requests, as complete applications help facilitate a more efficient review process.

We are also pleased to report that four (4) new single-family homes have been completed and welcomed into the Burnt Store Lakes community. The continued construction of new homes reflects the ongoing growth and investment throughout our neighborhood.

Many residents have inquired about the unfinished Carpenter home on San Edmundo. The Association has received updated information through the court proceedings indicating that ownership of the property has officially transferred. The new owners are actively working to secure a contractor to complete construction of the home. The Association will continue to monitor the property’s progress and work with the owners to ensure the project is completed in accordance with the approved architectural plans and the community’s construction standards.

The ARC remains committed to preserving the architectural integrity and appearance of Burnt Store Lakes while working cooperatively with homeowners and builders. We encourage all property owners to contact the Association office before beginning any exterior modifications to ensure the required approvals are obtained in advance.

Thank you to our homeowners, contractors, and volunteers for helping maintain the high standards that make Burnt Store Lakes a beautiful place to live.
